I used to walk past a bookie on my commute and I got to wondering about the bets advertised in the window. It seems obvious that over a season the bookie should come out ahead but it only takes one or two lucky weekends to recover all bets. So this season I will bet £10 each week on a bet advertised in the bookie’s window.
